Before you call

If it is an emergency, a few quick steps can limit the damage while we are on the way:

• Water leak or burst pipe: shut off the main water valve and turn off the water heater if the leak is near it.
• Sewer backup: stop running water and flushing toilets until the line is cleared.
• Gas smell: leave the building first, then call Oklahoma Natural Gas or 911 from outside. Do not switch lights or appliances on or off.
• Frozen pipe: open the faucet it feeds and never use an open flame to thaw it.
